What happens if you get your financial Aid check and quit?

IM attending a college and soon as fasfa started sending out the checks my classes got smaller and smaller is this common…can they take the money back?

Don’t listen to Tennessee. If a student enrolls in courses and gets his/her financial aid refund, if s/he drops out for the semester before the 100% drop deadline, ALL of the financial aid will be returned to the lender AND the student is going to have to return that refund to the college/university. Lenders will not lend you money if you are not enrolled. If the student withdraws by the 75%, 50%, or 25% tuition deadline, then the student’s financial aid is PRORATED. The prorating is quite drastic too, so it’s very like the student will owe back most of the financial aid refund. The students in your courses and drop and already received their refunds are really hurting themselves financially. Most have already spent a good portion of the refund and can’t return it to the college/university.
