What if I miss the March 2nd Cal Grant deadline?

I have my Cal Grant finished on March 1st and I want to send it out today, but I dont have the necessary funds to do an overnight. What happends if it gets there March 3rd or 4th? how bad is it if it arrives 2 days late? Will I still be accepted for finacial aid to college?
*edit* I just found out that it says that it needs to be POSTMARKED by the post office by March 2nd. What exactly does that mean if I turn it in today to the post office will it be postmarked for March 1st? If thats the case then I think I should be fine will that work?

It depends on the grant, but usually yes. The school is sent the money and after your tuition and fees are paid the school will send you the difference. You really wouldn’t call it “Cashing Out”. Most students call it “getting a refund check”. The school sends them out a few weeks into the semester. Sometimes longer than that. If your school doesn’t allow you to charge your books against your financial aid, you need to find an alternate way to pay for them because you won’t get your aid in time.
