I need help writing an appeal letter for financial aid.?

I went to this community college back in 1999 & 2000. I dropped out, due to a very close friends death and medical problems. Problem is, this happend so long ago and I didnt have a regular Dr. back then, so I dont have proof of the depression/medical problems that made my school performance suffer. I am requesting any medical records from that time frame from my local hospitals/clinics that I did go to. Any other suggestions or advise?

That was so long ago that it may not make a difference if you have supporting documents. I would recommend meeting with someone in the financial aid office, explaining the situation and write a good letter. I would probably put you on probation for a semester (you are aid eligible on probation).
